The Details

• Role & Pay: Plant Operator/Horticulturist earning $35 per hour.

• Hours & Schedule: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

• Opportunity: Temporary contract with the view to permanency.

• Start Date: 9 December.

Key Responsibilities

You will use your trade skills to lead, manage, and maintain Parks and Open Space assets.

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team for capital project and maintenance tasks.

• Operate and maintain plant/equipment according to procedures and good practice.

• Ensure a safe workplace, following work procedures and WHS guidelines.

• Liaise courteously with the public and maintain effective team communications.

What You Need to Bring

Your expertise in horticulture and plant operation is essential for this role.

• Required Qualification: Certificate III in Horticulture.

• Required Licenses: Appropriate plant licenses and a C Class Manual Drivers Licence.

• Key Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform work at the trade or equivalent level.

• Additional Requirement: Possession of a WH&S Competency Card for construction industry safety.
